Engaged
The initial post is on time. It provides evidence that the student has reviewed the information presented in the course but may still be learning how to apply it in different contexts and/or with in-depth analyses. However, the writing, video, or audio is scholarly and provides others with an avenue for engagement
1 to >0 pts
Disengaged
The initial post is late, making it difficult for other students to respond. Additionally (or alternatively), the initial post provides little evidence that the author has moved beyond a superficial understanding of the material. It is unfocused or simply rehashes original posts by others. The writing, video, or audio is not consistent with graduate level standards.
