Introduction to Nonprofit Leadership
Seattle University’s Nonprofit Leadership programs offers students the opportunity to develop the critical skills, perspectives, and experiences needed to lead for a more just and humane world. Both our Master of Nonprofit Leadership Links to an external site. (MNPL) and our Graduate Certificate in Fundraising Leadership Links to an external site. center social justice and provide pathways for students to engage communities, align their leadership practice with their values, transform and sustain organizations, expand their networks, and advocate for equity and justice.
The MNPL curriculum Links to an external site. combines a commitment to social justice, the latest in leadership theory and nonprofit research, and the practical management skills and dexterity required of nonprofit leaders. Students work with a distinguished mix of Seattle University faculty and practitioner instructors, learn with a cohort of peers, and build their networks among nonprofit and philanthropic leaders in the region. Graduates join a community of more than 450 alumni who are leading change in nonprofit, public and private organizations around the world.
The MNPL program culminates in the Capstone project. During their last quarter, students do original research on a contemporary issue in the nonprofit sector.
