Adding a Featured Image to Your Post

You can also choose an image that will appear with your post by clicking on the Set Featured Image link on the right side of your post and upload an image or choose an existing image from your media files.

 

While not strictly necessary, adding a featured image to a post will make it easier to find and adds visual interest to your blog.
