Kaltura is an application that is integrated with Canvas - in fact, you probably won't notice when you leave Canvas and go into Kaltura. Its primary function is video storage and playback, however, we place it here in the 'interactives' category because you can also embed quiz questions into videos.  Example

Vizia Links to an external site. is good video quizzing option if you want to collect short essay responses from students while they are watching your video. Vizia works with videos hosted on YouTube, so you can also add quizzes to any video hosted on that service. You can download a spreadsheet of student responses to your Vizia video quizzes. Example

Genial.ly Links to an external site. enables the creation of interactive images and presentations. For example, you can add 'hotspots' to an image to facilitate explanation or even create a course homepage.  Homepage Example  |  Lesson Example

Poll Everywhere Links to an external site. can be used both in and out of the classroom. Asking students to give feedback or opinions can help you gauge your student's understanding and make accommodations in your lesson. It is fun to watch students' reactions to live updates.  Example

tikitoki.jpg TikiToki Links to an external site. creates impressive looking timelines. Points on the timeline can include text, images or even videos. Timelines can be divided into sections, making it easy to visualize multiple dimensions which occur at the same time.

ZeeMaps Links to an external site. allows you and your students to create customized maps. Interactive maps can be a great icebreaker or a part of an instructional module. Users can even add multimedia markers to maps.  Example
