Keep presentations short, modular, focused

Keep your presentations short and to the point. 5-7 minutes is ideal. Think of the work you are producing as modular. You may group a number of presentations together but if you need to change one it will be easier to replace it with another short presentation than redoing an entire 45-minute presentation. Make short presentations on specific topics.

Support your message with images rather than text

Viewers can't read what is on your slide and listen to you talk at the same time. If you look at the slides below you will notice that the text on the left slide could easily be converted to a narration script. The slide on the right would support that narration effectively.
