Oral: Persuasive Talk
Create a talk, one minute thirty (1:30) in length. Choose a nonprofit, charity, or cause that you have worked with, volunteered for, or care about. Your job is to use what you have learned about persuasion to persuade the class to donate and/or join the cause. You will speak from the heart without notes.
Criteria
1. Is the scenario well thought out? Does your scenario demonstrate a higher level of thinking and preparation for the assignment.
2. Does the scenario demonstrate an example of persuasion?
3. An evaluation of your ability to deliver a persuasive talk. This includes content, eye contact, voice delivery, and your ability to hold the interest of the class.
You must be present on the day your name is called. This is an in class assignment that cannot be made up.Rubric
