Which Major Figure in Early Islam did you choose to research for this week? If you do not remember, click HERE for a reminder!
Please post the for your 'Major Figures' Infographic here by Thursday at 8pm. Once they are posted, I will assign Peer Reviews so that we can learn from and comment on each other's work. Peer Reviews need to be completed by Saturday at 11pm.
Peer Review parameters and Assignment Grading details:
Peer Reviews should focus on how well the student completed the assignment. Remember, the key questions you were asked to cover were:
- Who is this figure?
- What dates did they live?
- How are they related (by blood, marriage, other?) to the other important figures in early Islam?
- What can you learn about their life?
- Is there any controversy or difference of opinion surrounding them?
- Why are they important to early Islam?
- Are they important to modern Muslims? how?
- Any other important information?
in addition to these questions, Peer Reviews should comment on the overall effectiveness of the project's delivery:
- Was it easily understandable?
- Was it informative, attractive, or thought provoking?
- Was it respectful of both the ancient figure, the people who revere them, and the project's audience?
The instructor's grade will concentrate on these same questions.
How do you do a Peer Review in Canvas? I am glad you asked! Here is a link that explains it step by step: Peer Review How-To.
Basically - you click on the Assignment (same place you posted yours) and you will see a menu of student names which you have been assigned. Click to open, read the infographic or web page, and then make comments. Please have your comments focus on what you feel the strengths of the project are, the material found, how the information is presented, and anything further you'd like to see the student accomplish with the project. Submit all assigned peer reviews.
