About Me

Dr. Marwa Elkady is an adjunct faculty at Seattle University, Department of History. Previously, she was a professor at Alexandria University in Egypt. She was also a Fulbright visiting scholar at the University of Denver during the academic year 2018/2019 to conduct research on a master's program in Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies. She has taught courses related to the history and civilization of Graeco-roman Egypt, as well as courses on cultural heritage and museum studies. In addition, she has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. She participated as a speaker at a number of international conferences. Her studies are focused on the following areas:

- Ancient History & Civilization of the ancient Mediterranean world.

- Ancient History and Civilization of Graeco-Roman Egypt.

- Archaeology & Antiquities of Graeco-Roman Egypt.

- Ancient Egyptian & Graeco-Roman Mythologies.

- Graeco-Roman Art.

- History & Archaeology of Byzantine Egypt.

- Coptic Culture & Art.

- Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies.
