Blended Flow Mapper and Blended Flow Planner

Flow Planner IconWe created the Blended Flow Mapper tool to help faculty design hybrid/blended courses. Once you begin exploring this tool, you will recognize that it includes many items from the activity list on the previous page. The  mapper allows you to map these activities to where they might best fit in your course.  It also considers the pros and cons of each activity in both online and classroom settings.

The Blended Flow Mapper is a branching map. To use it, open the branches by clicking on the node signs ⦿ that appear at the corner of each item. The four Stages of inquiry lead to multiple Sub-steps, which in turn lead to suggested Activities, which lead to descriptions for how each activity can best be done either Online or in the Classroom. For each modality there is also a list of tools that could be used as well as the pros and cons of choosing that modality.

The Blended Flow Planner is a more linear version of the Blended Flow Mapper and is useful in planning a course since it is modeled on Canvas modules. You can access it by following the Flow Planner icon on the right or the link below.
