This course is designed to give educators, including special education teachers, literacy specialists, general education teachers, school psychologists, and school counselors, an overview of special education with specific emphasis on students with learning disorders. Topics covered will include the historical context of special education, disability types, special education law and procedures and individualized educational programs.
