Explore the Flow Map and Use the Flow Planner

Below is the Flow Map, which we created to help faculty design hybrid courses. It is a branching map. To open the branches, click the node signs ⦿ that appear at the corner of each item. The four Stages of inquiry lead to multiple Sub-steps, which in turn lead to suggested Activities, which lead to descriptions for how each activity can be done either Online or in the Classroom. For each modality there is also a list of tools that could be used as well as the pros and cons of choosing that modality. The Flow Map is designed primarily as a tool of exploration, to suggest possible activities and to weigh the benefits and costs of using an activity online versus  in the classroom. The Flow Planner is a more linear version and is useful in planning a course since it mimics Canvas modules.
