watercolors blendingYou may have been scrambling since the beginning of the outbreak to adapt to a new online landscape, to move your course materials into Canvas, and to set up your course Zoom meetings. (And by the way, congratulations on doing that.) However, now you might be asking yourself if it is time to start pre-recording some of your lectures so students can watch them before class.

Blending Asynchronous and Synchronous Activities

At this point you might be considering a more blended or hybrid approach to your course, where some of the learning  takes place beyond the confines of the Zoom space. The materials in this module have been assembled with that in mind. In this module we have included tools and strategies that we use during our Course Design Program to get faculty thinking about different possibilities for assignment and activity design. The Flow Map, in particular, is designed to help you weigh the pros and cons of online activities versus in-class (or in-Zoom) activities.
