CENTERING WISDOM
Reflection: What are the predominant stories you see on the news today? What are the predominant stories in your personal life? Do these stories match up at all? Why is it more likely that they do or do not?
Reflection: Symbols commonly feel universal but are specific to the cultural context in which they are told, what are some common cultural symbols in the US? How do we use these symbols to shape stories?
Activity: Think of fairy tale or story from your childhood, compare the stories told with a group of two or three. What lesson is this story trying to teach us?
