About me
I have been a Professor of Economics for over ten years. I graduated with a PhD. from the University of California, Irvine in 2008. Since then, I have worked at different universities around the world including UC-Irvine, the University of Oklahoma, Seattle University and New York University, Abu Dhabi. I currently hold a joint appointment as a Professor at Complutense University in Madrid, where I teach during the Fall and Spring terms, and Seattle University, where I teach during the summers.
What I like the best about teaching is the challenge of trying to explain, in an easy to understand way, concepts that are quite complex.
When I am not teaching, I do research on the interaction between economics and politics. My research has appeared in academic journals such as The American Journal of Political Science, Public Choice, European Journal of Political Economy, Research Policy and several others.
During my free time, I enjoy to spend time with my wife and my two kids. We like hiking, travelling and visiting friends and family in different parts of the world. I also like to practice different sports. Lately, I am into running and playing tennis.
