Week 7: Content Considerations - Copyright & Accessibility
Before the Workshop
Read the material in this module and jot down any copyright and accessibility questions you still have.
During the Workshop
The first activity during this week's workshop will be a group copyright quiz (which you will ace if you've read ahead). We'll then move onto talking about how you can make your course accessible for all students in your course. We'll go through an exercise where teams will practice identifying accessible content on Canvas pages.
After the Workshop
HOMEWORK
Create a list of items you might use in your course - book chapters, journal articles, movies, case studies etc. so that you can work with your instructional designer and the Copyright Coordinator to figure out how to deliver them to your students.
READ AHEAD AND PREPARE
Look ahead to the Toolkit module. Are there tools in this module that would work for delivering your content? Or maybe your students could use one of the tools for an online presentation or another kind of assignment? Try to settle on your top two that you would like to try, and cast your vote. During the workshop we will form small groups we will try out the top four tool vote-getters.
