Course Design Program

Course Design is an opportunity to come together for an hour a week during this term and talk about the craft of teaching with your colleagues. Together you will share your classroom experiences, brainstorm ideas, and teach each other new ways to engage students in online and offline spaces. Our workshop sessions contain very little "lecture"; generally you will be engaged in an activity.

As with all things worth doing, this program will require a commitment of both time and energy. We use a flipped model, meaning there will be a fair amount of work outside of our weekly sessions. Completing the homework is essential to your success and many of our in-class activities build on what you have accomplished outside of class.

If you are unable to attend a workshop, please contact Mafil Fabroquez, our coordinator, to arrange a make-up session.

In addition to our weekly meetings, you will be teamed with an instructional designer for one-on-one assistance. These meetings typically begin around the third week of the course and are scheduled at times that are mutually convenient for you and your assigned designer.
