Modeling Your Own
Modeling your own object is one the more exciting things about 3D printing! While this will not cover the extensively how to model, there are lots of great resources online.
Requirements:
1. Choose a modeling program! There are lots of free options, but here are some suggestions.
Tinkercad Links to an external site.
This free online CAD is great if you have never done modeling before! The drag and drop interface is easy to use!
Fusion 360 Links to an external site.
This software is free download for students and similar to Solidworks. If you have done Auto cad before this might be a good place to start!
Sculptris Links to an external site.
This is a organic modeling software. It is more like sculpting clay then boring line, draw, click. Might be good if you are more artistically inclined.
2. Model a thing and import into Cura to slice
3. Print it!
4. Once you are done, submit a picture to complete the lesson.
