Father Wood Innovation Lab

Overview

The Francis Wood, S.J. and Nick Arvanitidis, PhD Innovation Lab located in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department is designed to engage students using innovative approaches to teaching and learning.  

Location

The Innovation Lab is located in the Bannan Science building in Room 223 at the center of the Electrical and Computer Engineering department.  It is surrounded by department labs and faculty offices.  

Closure Due to COVID-19 

The Father Wood Innovation Lab is currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions in Washington State.  We hope to be able to open in September, 2021.

When you visit the Innovation Lab there will always be people around to lend a helping hand. The following page has short bios and pictures of our people who help out and make the lab run.  Feel free to ask them for help.  People Page

Workshops

Workshop signup is on clipboard on the dry erase board to the right of the LCD monitor in the lab.  Workshop subjects, time, and date are listed on the calendar.  If the calendar event is blue we likely still have room. Visit the lab to sign up. If the calendar event is red it it full.  Keep checking the calendar for additional workshops.  Also, if you have a group of students interested in the a workshop, we a more than willing to schedule custom workshops on times that best fit your schedule. 

Badges

Members can earn develop proficiency and earn badges in the follow areas.  Click on the badges will take you to the content for earning the corresponding badge.  You will first need to complete the Welcome and Safety badge before proceeding.  After completing the Welcome and Safety badge you may earn additional badges.
