Effective Exam Reviews
A letter grade won't tell you much about how a midterm or final exam went. Did you issue spot well? Are you great at multiple choice but having some difficulty with essays? Reviewing your exams is a key step in evaluating what worked and what didn't work in past semesters. You can use the checklist linked below to review your exams and your exam taking process. Being aware of what worked well and what didn't will allow you to make targeted improvements next semester.
We encourage you to schedule exam review appointments with your professors if they offer them. They may be able to offer further insight about how you can improve your exam scores in future semesters. Often, your professors will help you see areas for improvement that you can apply to all of your classes, such as using more precise rule statements or including more factual support for your arguments.
