ARC Lending Library
The ARC Lending Library is up and running! You can find the ARC Library in Room 310, just to the left of the IT Office on the third floor of Sullivan Hall. Students are welcome to check out books or flashcards for a reasonable period of time - we just ask that students be respectful of the needs of their peers and return the books when they are no longer actively using them. Please sign books out when you take them.
The Lending Library will generally be open during school hours. If you come by and the room is not open, check with Imran in Room 309A and I can open the room for you.
We have a wide variety of secondary sources available, including:
- Glannon Guides
- Examples and Explanations
- Q&A
- Acing ______ series
- Understanding _______ series
- Emanuel and Gilbert outlines
- Kaplan and Critical Pass flashcards
Our collection includes books from all 1L doctrinal classes, legal research and writing, and various academic success books geared at helping 1Ls develop their academic skills.
A word of caution: The books and flashcards in our lending library have been generously donated by students and publishers over the years. We cannot guarantee that we will have a particular resource available, and some of our books are older editions. Often this is not a huge deal - a lot of the law you'll study has not changed substantially in the last couple of years (or decades). However, you should be careful to check the publication date of the resource and make note of any possible changes to the law (for example, any Civ Pro book published before 2011 wouldn't have any mention of Nicastro). Also take note of any differences between the law as described by a secondary source and the law as described by your professor. Any time there is a difference between the two, your professor's explanation wins. If you think you have come across any discrepancies, you should talk to your professor to clear up any questions you have.
