Module Homepage Templates

We recommend that you place your content into Canvas Modules Links to an external site.. A module is similar to a folder on your computer. It is a way to organize and store content. If your students get lost they can always click on the left Modules link. In this way Modules function as a table of contents. Another important feature of Modules that they automatically create a navigation system that can be paged through. At the bottom of every Module page you will see "Previous" and "Next" buttons so that your content is presented as a kind of slideshow.

We also recommend using Module Homepages as the first page for each of your modules. These are the pages you will link to from your main home page. Typically, module homepages give students an overview of everything that will happen during the week along with due date reminders, etc.

Tip: When you find a template that suits you, copy the HTML code and paste it into the HTML editor on your Canvas page or follow these step-by-step instructions.
