ARE YOU PREPARED? Arrow-Tree-Symbol-YellowLEFT.png

It’s tempting to think because you’re good with digital gadgets that taking distance learning courses will be easy. It's true that knowing how to clear your internet browser’s cache is useful, for example. However, distance learning generally does not require extensive technical knowledge.

You do have to understand the basics about your computer, your internet connection, how to use Canvas, the learning management system (LMS) at Seattle U, and how to use Zoom videoconferencing. The next module in this tutorial, Your Distance Learning Environment, will go into detail about required technologies so you're tech-prepared and know what to do if something goes wrong.
