BAUD 100: Class 7 Assignment Reminders

  • Individual Assignment/Paper: How does your assigned business focus on the 4P’s of marketing? (Product, Price, Place and Promotion). Your textbook uses the less easily remembered "3 P's and a D."  For example, does your company compete primarily on price, or does it charge a higher price and compete by delivering value via one of the other P's?  Does it have a superior distribution network and/or method?  Do you perceive any weaknesses in the marketing strategy along any of these 4 dimensions? Your memo should briefly discuss your company's marketing strategy, using ideas and terms learned in Chapter 11. Write a one-page paper responding to this and submit before the next class. (0-40 Points). Be ready to discuss this in the next class.

Please arrive at class in time. Tardiness is not only rude to your fellow classmates; it is very disruptive to class.  It’s disruptive to guest speakers, it's disruptive to professors, and in the future you will find it's disruptive to co-workers and bosses.

Please do not come to class late.  If you are late, wait until the break to come in the classroom.

I have had bosses yell at people for being late and lock meeting doors when someone is late, but the real issue is that it is disruptive to whoever is speaking.

When I start a class I'm thinking about you and the class content for the day. If members of this class come in late, that disrupts my concentration, which in turn affects my ability to give you the education you want.

PLEASE do not come to class late.
